Swaytide is an early concept for a beach-first hammock system designed around carrying, setup, and full-body lounging.

The proposed package

One beach lounge system, planned as three parts.

These components describe the current product direction. Final materials, dimensions, construction, and contents have not been determined.

Portable stand concept

A freestanding structure being explored for beach use without relying on trees.

Design not final

Fitted hammock

A hammock planned around the stand concept rather than a mix-and-match setup.

Fit not validated

Carrying bag

A proposed bag intended to keep the concept together between the car and the beach.

Pack size not validated

Beach comfort often asks you to choose between upright seating, bulky gear, or a hammock with nowhere to hang it.

The problem worth exploring

Relaxing should not be the hardest part of beach day.

  • Upright is not always restful

Traditional chairs can be practical, but they do not offer the suspended, full-body experience people seek from a hammock.

  • Traditional hammocks need the right anchors

Many open beaches simply do not have two appropriately spaced trees where you want to settle.

  • Every extra item adds a tradeoff

Carry distance, packed size, setup steps, and the rest of the beach load all shape whether a new system is useful.

Open questions, not finished claims

What the team still needs to validate.

The concept has not completed engineering, safety, load, stability, durability, corrosion, manufacturing, or shipping validation. Feedback helps prioritize the questions; it does not replace professional testing.

Engineering, safety, and load behavior

Structural design, safe use conditions, and any future load rating require qualified engineering and physical testing.

Sand and surface stability

Foot geometry, shifting conditions, slopes, wind, and other real beach variables have not been validated.

Carry weight and packed size

The team is researching what beachgoers will carry; no final weight or packed dimensions are available.

Setup and everyday usability

Assembly steps, time, instructions, accessibility, and pack-up experience remain design questions.

Durability and coastal exposure

Material wear, salt, sand, moisture, and corrosion performance require a formal test plan.

Manufacturing, price, and shipping

Supplier feasibility, quality control, landed cost, packaging, and shipping economics are not final.

No Swaytide product is currently offered for sale. Do not use a concept image or description as a safety instruction, specification, or promise of future availability.

Founder participation

Straight answers

Frequently asked questions.

Can I buy Swaytide today?

No. Swaytide is a concept in development, not a completed or available product. Joining the Founder List is not an order, preorder, reservation, or deposit, and launch is not guaranteed.

Has the stand been safety or load tested?

No completed safety, structural, load, stability, durability, corrosion, or other validation is being claimed. Any future product would need qualified engineering and appropriate testing before use or sale.

Will it work safely and stay stable on sand?

That has not been validated. Sand type, slope, wind, shifting surfaces, setup, and user behavior can all affect a stand. Stability and safe-use conditions are open engineering and test questions.

How much will it weigh?

There is no verified product weight or packed size yet. The team is studying carry distance and weight tradeoffs before setting a design target.

Are the $279 and $329 prices final?

No. $279 is the target Founder price and $329 is the target retail price if the product launches. Either may change, and tax and shipping have not been determined.

When would it launch?

There is no promised launch date. Engineering, testing, manufacturing, cost, and shipping work must inform whether the concept can responsibly move forward.

Does joining guarantee prototype access?

No. Some Founder List members may be considered for future research, but selection depends on the research need and is not guaranteed.

What happens after I join?

You will see an optional research survey. If email updates begin, you may receive product-development news, selected design questions, and first notice of Founder pricing if Swaytide launches. You can unsubscribe at any time.
